AEM elects new chairman and members

The Board of Directors of the Association of Equipment Manufacturers (AEM) has elected Charles Stamp, Jr. as AEM chairman. Stamp is currently the vice president public affairs worldwide for Deem and Co., Moline, III. The board also elected Gerald Shaheen, group president of Caterpillar Inc., to first vice chairman of the association. Stamp and Shaheen previously served as AEM first vice chair and second vice chair respectively. They will lead the AEM Board and the association in setting policies and guidelines of the association.
AEM has also recently elected nine companies to membership in the international trade group. The companies are: E-Emphasys Technologies Inc., Cary, N.C.; Fontaine Specialized Inc., Springville, Ind.; GM Fleet & Commercial, Detroit, Mich.; Lift-All, Division of Hydra-Tech Inc., Fort Wayne, Ind.; Reelcraft Industries, Columbia City, Ind.; Sauber Manufacturing Co,, Virgil, Ill.; Snorkel International, Elwood, Kan.; Southwest Products Corp., Phoenix, Ariz.; and Superior Tire & Rubber Corp., Warren, Penn.
