EPA to Co-Sponsor Clean-Diesel Technology Conference in Naperville.

WHAT: U.S. Environmental Protection Agency Region 5’s Midwest Clean
Diesel Initiative will co-sponsor “Tools for Cleaning Up
Illinois Diesel: Technology, Funding and Collaboration,” a
one-day conference on tools to help Illinois fleets reduce fuel
usage, decrease emissions and save money. Topics include
diesel retrofits, idle reduction technologies, alternative
fuels and funding opportunities. Participants will be able to
network with other fleet managers, government and planning
officials, fuel suppliers, and manufacturers of idle reduction
devices and emission control technologies.

Vehicles on display will include off-road equipment retrofitted with
diesel oxidation catalysts, a heavy-duty truck with an auxiliary power
unit, a medium-duty diesel electric bucket truck and a school bus with a
