The Crane Institute of America’s Crane Safety Reference card, 6 1/4 x 3 1/2 inches when creased at the centerfold, addresses pre-operational inspection items for mobile cranes; wire rope inspection including removal criteria for running ropes and rotation resistant ropes; crane setup considerations, including use of outriggers and blocking working near power lines, specifically procedures required clearances, and responses to contact and, variables that determine the lifting capacity of a crane.
