You need an auger like you need a hole in the ground, which, actually, is quite often if you find yourself digging holes for trees, posts, poles and sprinklers. The following augers are available as attachments to compact pieces of equipment or manual operation and they feature various digging depths and widths. BOBCAT COMPANY
Bobcat offers the Toolcat with auger attachment, which is designed for drilling holes for posts, piers, poles and trees in all types of soil conditions. This heavy-duty hydraulic auger bits with high torque power lets you dig 6- to 42-inch holes with speed and plumb-line accuracy. Because of a knuckle-joint design, the auger will hang plumb even on uneven terrain. With direct drive for more efficient operation, this auger features a smaller drive housing, which allows the entire drive unit to follow the bit into the hole.
