InPower LLC (Galena, OH) introduces its VCMS Programmable Switch Panel System, an advanced vehicle control system that enables 12-volt devices, such as interior lights, fans, fast idle controls and warning lights to operate from a single switch panel.

With VCMS, system designers can control the vehicle electrical system with great flexibility and can easily implement small or large control configurations, all while minimizing time and hardware. VCMS is a smart solution for lowering costs and getting the exact functionality needed for vehicles in a small amount of space.

VCMS consists of two components: the Switch Module and the Power Module. The Switch Module is available in four, six, eight or 12 switch position configurations. Custom configurations are also available. Each switch position consists of a backlit switch with a custom legend and status LED indictor. Switch positions can be programmed for momentary, two-position (latching) or three-position (Off-On1-On2).

The Power Module contains six 12-volt solid state outputs, each rated at 15 amps. It also contains four signal inputs that can be activated by remote devices, such as the ignition switch, door position switches and relay contacts. Systems can be configured with one or more Power Modules. Power Modules can be remote from the Switch Module, which allows more efficient and shorter power wiring.

The VCMS is designed to fit many types of vehicles, such as work trucks, ambulances, fire and rescue trucks, shuttle buses, police cruisers, school buses, recreational vehicles, cranes, construction vehicles or any other application using remote 12-volt devices.
