Attendees see what’s new at Gravois Road facility

Kirby-Smith Machinery Inc., a leading distributor of cranes and heavy equipment for contractors in the central United States, conducted an open house at its St. Louis facility–12920 Gravois Rd.–on June 30. On hand to great guests at the event were Kirby-Smith representatives. Guests also had an opportunity to meet factory representatives and to hear about new product introductions.

Kirby-Smith Machinery has long been an elite dealer for Manitowoc and Grove cranes and Broderson carry-deck cranes. The company announces that it has added National Crane boom trucks, Potain self-erecting cranes and Effer articulating cranes to its full crane product line.

The St. Louis branch, which opened in December 2001, sits on several acres–encompassing an 11,500-square-foot facility, including office space, a parts counter, storage, and a 10,000-square-foot service area. Ray Jost is manager of the branch, which serves the southern half of Illinois and the eastern half of Missouri.

“Our focus here in St. Louis is strictly lift equipment–primarily mobile cranes,” Jost says.

Other key members of the St. Louis team are Dave Hoeft and Michael Nelle, territory managers; Tim Carothers, service manager; Ceily Davis, parts manager; and Debbie Hoeft, office coordinator.

Headquartered in Oklahoma City, Kirby-Smith also has facilities in Tulsa, Okla., and Fort Worth, Texas. The company offers a complete range of service in parts, rentals, sales, service, financing, product support, and training.
