Safe Shop Tools Inc. is introducing its new and improved Stepper(TM)II Portable Tire Step, a compact, adjustable steel platform that fits over most truck tires and provides safe, secure footing for work on engines and windshields.
Feedback from fleet technicians led the company to make two design changes to its popular tool; one, instead of black colored coating, it now comes in standard safety neon yellow; two, urethane protective strips are applied in order to keep Tire Step metallic parts from coming in contact with chrome or aluminum wheels to prevent scratching or marring.
The company also points out that the Stepper’s folded size is just 5″ deep x 14.5″ x 30″, allowing it to be stored and transported easily. Additionally, it unfolds quickly and locks securely into position, and can be hung over the front or back tire, on either side of a vehicle.
The patent-pending Stepper II eliminates the need to use stepladders and buckets, which can tip over. And unlike rigid work platforms, the Stepper has an adjustable width, so a single unit can work for trucks of all sizes, from 1/2 ton pickups and SUVs, to heavy-duty, over-the-road tractor-trailers.
The lightweight, all-steel Stepper II is virtually indestructible, with a non-slip, OSHA-approved surface for safety. It comes ready for use, and requires no tools or bolts. Safe Shop officials point out that the Stepper II Portable Tire Step is the ideal tool for shop technicians.
