A strong focus for Terex at this Bauma is to show its power and size in construction machinery. On more than 6000 m Terex will present a wide range of construction machinery, big mining shovels, roadbuilding equipment, access platforms and last but not least cranes.

Terex Cranes will exhibit nearly the complete range of products and services comprising telescopic cranes, lattice boom cranes, tower cranes and rough terrain cranes. On show will be 19 cranes from the company’s large product range. The exhibits ranging from 30 to 500 tonnes capacity are showing the technological edge of crane development. 12 mobile cranes from Demag, 3 from PPM, 2 tower cranes from Comedil, 1 from Peiner and 1 RT crane from Bendini will cover 1/3 of the Terex stand and show the strength of Terex Cranes portfolio.

The successful City Class family continues to grow at Terex-Demag. So far more than 1150 units have been delivered. Along with the successful AC 30 City and AC 40-1City Demag will show 2 new City Class cranes, the AC 55 City and the AC 70 City.

The 3-axle AC 55 City with 55t max. lifting capacity is a completely new development based on the experiences and knowledge of Demag in the field of City Class cranes. It has a 40m boom, a new counterweight system to attach additional counterweight on job site and a new improved ergonomic 2 seater cab.

The AC 70 City, a new development out of the AC 60 with its best-in-class boom length of 52m will also be introduced with this new counterweight system.

The AC 250 with an unmatched 80m boom length is the benchmark for all mobile cranes. This unbeatable feature along with a ingenious new system for a hydraulic luffing jib leads this crane to the pole position in its class.

AC 140 and AC 120-1 are optimised for the various requirements of the world market. Both have a 60m boom following the technology of the larger AC 160-1 and AC 200-1. The carriers are adapted to the different needs of axle spacing and weight distribution. The AC 140 carrier has 3m width while the AC 120-1 follows the philosophy of a more compact carrier with a width of 2,75m.

All the products are equipped with the intelligent crane control system IC-1 and the Unimec telescoping system developed by Demag. Computer-controlled hydraulic steering of the rear axles provides best driving comfort and agility.

The CC 2200 on display is a new powerful crawler crane with 350t lifting capacity.

The innovative IC-1 control system provides the highest level of ability during operation. Thus any boom angle, Superlift radius and Superlift counterweight will fit to any site condition. The CC 2200 provides the best-in-class lifting capacities combined with lowest cost for transport and erection which is a typical feature of all Demag crawler cranes.

The new CC 2000-1 with a capacity of 300t has optimised dimensions for the use of standard Eurotrailers cutting transport costs dramatically. It will continue the success story of the well known CC 2000.

Both new crawler cranes perfectly fit into the well graduated product line ranging from 275t to 1600t.

The AC 500-2 is an upgrade of the successful AC 500-1 with significantly increased lifting capacities meeting perfectly the requirements for windmill applications.

In addition to this upgrade the ingenious Sideways Superlift (SSL) patented by Demag is the main feature providing these outstanding capacities.

The AC 350 on display is another member of the SSL class which besides the AC 350 includes the AC 500-2 and the AC 700. The AC 350 combines compactness of a six axle carrier with outstanding lifting capacities.

The AC 200-1 with 68m main boom length provides a tremendous total boom. The highest reach among the 200 tonners and the strength and versatility guarantee highest performance and value for the owner.

The AC 160-1 follows the concept of the AC 200-1. The technology and many of its features are similar on both models. The main boom length is 64m, the total boom length is 96m. The AC 160-1 crane is roadable with 2.1t of counterweight while axle loads stay within the 12t limit. The AC 160-1 without modification meets most of the road regulations all over the world.

A complete new AC 55 L will be shown by PPM, a 55t telescopic crane with a main boom length of 44m. The presentation of PPM includes the 35t AC 35-L with 37.4m main boom length. Both cranes meet the market requirements for long telescopic booms beside the standard machines AC 35 and AC 55.

Peiner will present the first SK 415 tower crane produced in the Zweibruecken operation of Demag.

Comedil will show a new self-erection tower crane and a new flat-top tower crane. More info can be obtained from Comedil in Italy directly.
