TEREX takes seriously its obligation to help the rescue, relief and rebuilding process in the areas of the Gulf Coast ravaged by Hurricane Katrina. TEREX provided immediate delivery of light towers and generators to aid in the early stages of the relief effort. But our efforts do not stop there.
TEREX continues to focus on accelerating machinery deliveries to the areas where the equipment is needed most. Our factories have adjusted production schedules to concentrate on those products that are immediately needed in the Gulf Coast states. Our customers have aided in this effort by being flexible in their delivery times. We are assigning a senior executive to the region solely to coordinate TEREX activities in the Gulf Coast states and to provide relief workers and contractors access to the equipment they require.
In the weeks and months ahead, we will continue to support this worthy cause. TEREX is fortunate to be in the position of manufacturing a broad spectrum of equipment that can assist the people affected by this disaster in the rebuilding and resumption of their lives.
Additionally, we have numerous office and manufacturing locations throughout the United States. We are coordinating with local agencies in filling current TEREX job vacancies when possible with victims of the hurricane. Information on agencies to contact for job opportunities within the TEREX organization, updates and other pertinent information will be posted on the TEREX Website when available and will be accessible through the link at the bottom of this page.
Also, TEREX Corporation has established a corporate donation program in which the Company will provide matching contributions to select charities based on the generosity of our over 17,000 employees worldwide. Please join us in supporting the relief efforts of the following humanitarian organizations: American Red Cross, United Way, Salvation Army and Save the Children.
